Digital Printing
Digital printing, also known as direct-to-film, is a printing method that applies ink to a film which is then transferred to the product. The ink is printed on a thin film, and the design is applied to the item with a special heated printing machine.
Digital printing is intended for highly detailed and multi-colored logo designs. We may also use this method for small runs and to avoid screen charges for our customers. Digital printing is perfect for apparel that is worn frequently and goes through a lot of wear and tear. This decoration option is extremely dependable, wash after wash.
Benefits of Digital Printing as a Decoration Method
- Quick application and turnaround times.
- Color matches available – Digital printing allows you to perfectly color-match yourdesign.
- Endless decoration possibilities allow for very small print and detailed artwork.
- No color restrictions and minimal setup charges.
Considerations for Digital Printing as a Decoration Method
- Digital printing should not be used on items that are not made of cotton or polyester.
- Digital Printing uses CMYK ink, so colors can be slightly different from your logo. This form of printing is not particularly suitable for neon colors.
- Digital printing handles fine details well, though elements small than 0.02 inches will lead to soft edges and may not transfer properly.
